Program Mission
Students will be able to produce high quality, artistic photographs. They will use Lightroom and Photoshop to edit and enhance photographs, design advertisements and page layouts. They will use a lighting studio to manipulate light to make creative photographs. They will experience work based projects through yearbook, photo club activities (athletic team photos, dance team photos)
Students will experience:
- Create innovative photographs using artistic and technical skills.
- Use professional cameras, computers, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom (image editing software), studio lighting, and large format printers.
- Experience working for clients to design, produce and publish photos.
Potential Careers
Career examples include Portrait and Fashion Photographer, Food Photographer, Fine Art Photographer, Art Director, Gallery Owner, and Commercial/Advertising Photographer
