  • Roaring Readers Summer Reading Program

During the summer break from school, elementary students may participate in a summer reader program at home. Coronado students strive to be Roaring Readers!

A light blue Roaring Reader reading log will be given to all kindergarten through 5th grade students prior to the last day of school in May. Each time your child reads for 20 minutes (or you read to your child), a Cougar Paw gets colored. Your child's goal is to color all Cougar Paws on the front and back of the reading log by the first day of school in August.

Once all necessary information is filled out on the reading log and a parent's signature is gotten, your child needs to return the paper to his/her teacher in August. Your child will earn a FREE Roaring Reader tee-shirt. (Tee-shirts are designed by a 3rd grade student who created the winning design before school ended in May.) TEE-SHIRTS WILL NOT ARRIVE UNTIL AFTER FALL BREAK. SORRY...

Need a new reading log or your child did not bring one home? Visit the school office during summer break to get one.
